World Health Organization Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, declared a global health emergency for monkeypox today despite a majority of the assembled panel of experts voting 9-6 not to declare a global health emergency.
July 23 (Reuters) – The rapidly spreading monkeypox outbreak represents a global health emergency, the World Health Organization’s highest level of alert, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Saturday.
The WHO label – a “public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC)” – is designed to trigger a coordinated international response and could unlock funding to collaborate on sharing vaccines and treatments.
Members of an expert committee that met on Thursday to discuss the potential recommendation were split on the decision, with nine members against and six in favour of the declaration, prompting Tedros himself to break the deadlock, he told reporters.
“Although I am declaring a public health emergency of international concern, for the moment this is an outbreak that is concentrated among men who have sex with men, especially those with multiple sexual partners,” Tedros told a media briefing in Geneva. (read more)

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is following the same roadmap as his political friend in the Netherlands, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and the Canadian farmers are not happy about it.
CANADA – Saskatchewan and Alberta Ministers of Agriculture are expressing profound disappointment in the federal government’s fertilizer emissions reduction target.
“We’re really concerned with this arbitrary goal,” Saskatchewan Minister of Agriculture David Marit said. “The Trudeau government has apparently moved on from their attack on the oil and gas industry and set their sights on Saskatchewan farmers.”
“This has been the most expensive crop anyone has put in, following a very difficult year on the prairies,” Alberta Minister of Agriculture Nate Horner said. “The world is looking for Canada to increase production and be a solution to global food shortages. The Federal government needs to display that they understand this. They owe it to our producers.”
Fertilizer emissions reduction was not even a topic on the agenda of the annual meeting of Federal-Provincial-Territorial ministers of agriculture, who just finished 3 days of meetings in Saskatchewan. Provinces pushed the federal government to discuss this important topic, but were disappointed to learn that the target is already set. The commitment to future consultations are only to determine how to meet the target that Prime Minister Trudeau and Minister Bibeau have already unilaterally imposed on this industry, not to consult on what is achievable or attainable. There have been some bad decisions by the Supreme Court, such as Dread Scott and allowing the Japanese imprisonment during WWII. But never in the history of the nation has what is unfolding over abortion ever taken place, which is in itself, a confirmation that our computer is forecasting that the United States will separate. It has become impossible to live together. The left just hates the right, and it is always the LEFT, as in the Communist Revolutions, that end up waging war and justify the slaughter of anyone who they disagree with.

There are many who personally have no desire to be an economic slave for policies I do not agree with on an economic and RELIGIOUS basis. Equal Rights is precisely that. They somehow are eliminated if it comes to material wealth. An A student should be reduced to a C student because it is not fair that an F student should fail. They should be given a C, so everyone is equal regardless of talent. That worked well for communism.
Ironically, the entire issue of legalizing gay marriage was because of the tax code. Any couple who lives together and contributes to a relationship should be treated the same as a married couple because it is economic equality, be they gay or just a common-law type marriage. It is always the hunt for taxes that creates inequality.
For the first time since 2010, China holds less than $1 trillion in US debt. China held $980.8 billion in US debt in May, a $23 billion decline from April and a $100 billion decline from a year prior. In fact, the US Treasury Department noted that China has been reducing its holdings for the past six consecutive months.
Japan is now the top holder of US debt, reaching $1.212 trillion in May, marking a slight increase from $1.218 trillion in April. Total foreign holdings declined by $7.42 trillion in May as those who see what is coming want no part in government debt.
This did not go well for Japan in the past. You see, the USD remains the last safe haven among currencies. Rates are set to rise, other currencies are set to decline, and the countries left holding US debt will be forced to pay much more than intended. No one seems to understand this simple staple of FOREX.
China unloading US debt could indicate growing geopolitical tensions, which our models indicate could break out in 2023.

Yikes, things are getting spicy in New York as Republican gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin was attacked by a guy while giving a campaign speech in Monroe County near Rochester. A bystander intervened and removed a weapon from the hand of the attacker. Mr. Zeldin was unharmed.
New York – Lee Zeldin, the Republican candidate for New York governor, was attacked during a campaign stop near Rochester in upstate Monroe County on Thursday night.
Zeldin, also a sitting US congressman from Long Island, was giving a speech at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Perinton when a man jumped on stage and lunged toward the lawmaker, according to witnesses and video of the incident. “I saw that he [was] approaching the congressman, so I jumped up on the stage,” witness Joe Chenelly told The Post.
“The congressman turned and faced him. I thought he might just be there to hug the congressman or to, you know, maybe heckle him or something along those lines.”
The suspect approached Zeldin wielding an unknown weapon and Chenelly tackled him.
“Once the man was on stage, he reached into his right pocket and pulled out what appeared to be a knife or a razor blade, maybe a box cutter and lunged at the Congressman,” Chenelly said.
Zeldin attempted to block the suspect — who witnesses said was disheveled and possibly intoxicated — and the man lunged at Zeldin once more. (read more)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will no longer report COVID outbreaks on cruise ships. Per the CDC’s website:
“As of July 18, 2022, CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships is no longer in effect. CDC will continue to publish guidance to help cruise ships continue to provide a safer and healthier environment for passengers, crew and communities going forward.”
Clearly, this is an attempt to hide the fact that the vaccinated are spreading and contracting COVID, possibly more frequently than the unvaccinated. Nearly all cruise liners have required staff and passengers to be “fully vaccinated” before boarding. Yet, there are countless stories of COVID outbreaks on ships with 100% vaccination rates. So the cruise industry lost over $63 billion between 2020 and 2021 for absolutely no reason.
The CDC still recommends that vacationers take a COVID test before boarding and adhere to all their guidelines. The agency now claims that the liners simply have access to their guidance and they no longer need to control the situation. In reality, they cannot explain why ships containing fully vaccinated passengers and staff are experiencing outbreaks. Answer: THE VACCINE DOES NOT WORK!
