The corruption just keeps pouring out of the DC Swamp, you wouldn’t think that much crap could exist in one spot, but it does!

When asked for the topic of a ‘big picture‘ podcast this 2022-year ending, the obvious answer from me was We Need to Quit Pretending.

For the past two years I can only encapsulate the entire social, political and socioeconomic dynamic that surrounds us by saying we are living in an era of great pretending. Why? Because nothing else adequately explains it.
A recession is no longer two negative quarters of economic growth. Elections are no longer defined by votes cast, but by ballots counted. Meanwhile, women are claimed to have penises and people will argue -strenuously and with commitment- that men can give birth to babies.
Simultaneously, vaccines are no longer about medicines to avoid viruses, and Americans have some moral obligation to fund the administrative salaries, pensions and expense accounts for a nation of European politicians, in a country that few taxpayers could find on a map.
We must pretend the occupant of the oval office is not a dementia patient, at the same time we must pretend the Dept of Homeland Security and FBI is not telling online speech platforms that identifying the dementia patient, as a dementia patient, means you are a domestic violent extremist. The absurdity of the pretenses are off-the-charts.
However, on the upside, we now see even blissfully ignorant people starting to realize something is wrong when their electricity and heating bills quadruple, while the same system of governmental caretakers are telling us to embrace a new earth friendly normal of $12 dollar eggs. We been knew, but more are now knowing – thank God.

History provides reference points, and prolonged pretending never ends up in a good place. So, there is room for optimism on a couple of points.
First, there is more support than ever for the ‘burn it all down‘ approach. Whereby we keep the basic U.S. Constitution in place and shred every other institution created that has nothing whatsoever to do with it.
This includes both the DNC and RNC wings of the UniParty apparatus. I mean, really, at the core of it, what do we have to lose? Why not just get rid of the dysfunctional systems that abuse us.
Second, in a weird way, we are in a rare space where we can feel the history around us. Normally we would have to look in retrospect at the events as they unfolded to recognize the inflection point historians would use – not now. We can look around us right now and have full confidence the most influential voice in the next two decades will be the man, woman or entity that starts openly and publicly calling out this ridiculous pretending.
How messed up does society have to be, and how low to the ground does the actual bar have to rest, in order to realize the most important and influential person in our lifetime will simply be the one who stops pretending? Ultimately, this is the source of my optimism for the future.
When it becomes so easy to deconstruct the madness simply by pointing out the reality, eventually anyone can do it. In an era of great pretending, when you speak factual and pain truth, people thirsting will come for the sanity. Yes, there’s only so much hypocritical nuttery that can possibly fit into the social fabric of a nation, and we’re full.

I see that dynamic starting to play out now. Mainstream media are openly mocked everywhere for being the Baghdad Bob’s they are. The MSM credibility and influence essentially destroyed by the Potemkin villages and Eco-chambers they built around themselves.
The congressional J6 committee is yet another example of a proclaimed thermonuclear ICBM missile that ended up delivering a contrasting reality. The fading whistle & pop akin to a dysfunctional bottle rocket.
There’s no help on this pretending issue coming from the political side of the American spectrum; sneeze that thought into a tissue and flush it.
The big movement that will end this era will come from ordinary people laughing, mocking and belittling the pretenders.
I do genuinely believe this phase is well underway, albeit we are in the beginning phases of the great mocking.
Whenever possible, we should do all we can to fuel both mocking and shame when discussing the great pretenders. There’s only so much ridicule they can take before they must change course. Ridiculing is another way to throw sand in the machinery. Again, I think we are beginning to see that pendulum shift taking place right now.
Evidence for my optimism can be found in the most obscure places, including this paragraph from a recent NPR article:
…[…] “Only 15% of people eligible for the Covid booster shot that targets the omicron variant have gotten it — a rate that is even lower than the perennially disappointing rates for flu vaccine uptake. Vaccine fatigue seems to have spread to other shots, too — including those to prevent measles and polio — according to a recent poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation.”
Think about it. “Eligible for the Covid booster” means that 85% of those who took the COVID-19 “vaccine” are not taking the booster. Eighty-five percent of the people who took the shot have stopped pretending the covid shot had anything to do with public health. That’s 85 out of 100 people who took the shot, not taking the booster. That’s a lot of simultaneous pretense quitting.
Yes, 2022 was another year in this great pretending era, but along with it comes a new enlightenment for a whole bunch of people. From where we sit at the end of this year, it looks like the pretending has apexed.
Eyes are wide open; people are starting to be intellectually honest and more curious.
Yes comrade rebels, slowly, albeit painfully slowly, there is hope emerging.

QUESTION: I saw you on TV here in Russia. I think you are more respected in Russia than in the United States. You are the only person ever to say that war is created by politicians and not the people. Do you see any hope of avoiding war?
VR
ANSWER: Unfortunately, no! The only real question is how bad does it get?
As I said at our World Economic Conference, nobody has tried to defeat this model more than me. I have come to see that you really cannot change the long-term because nobody will act for the future. They only react to immediate news and propaganda. Congressman Adam Kinzinger said that NATO could take out Russia in only three days. Kinzinger is the new John McCain. He always advocates war and is clueless. His statement that NATO could take out Russia in 3 days is the most absurd statement I have ever heard.
Kinzinger acts as if NATO could completely destroy Russia in 3 days and they never get a shot off? It is beyond me why these people always preach war and have ZERO regards for the consequences. These people should be barred from ever holding office even for a dog catcher. They live in a delusional world. They also hate China. So they are supposed to wait until NATO destroys Russia in 3 days and then we turn to destroy them in 5 days? Then we also ask North Korea and Iran to please wait their turn for destruction.
The US, Europe, Russia, China, and even Iran all have their Neocons. We should gather them all up, throw then in Madison Square Garden, sell tickets and bet on who is the last one standing. Anyone else who wants to be a Neocon should just be put in the line for the next match.
Russia’s Transneft has received applications from Poland and Germany to pump oil for the first quarter of next year, despite reports of unwillingness to continue deliveries. Nikolai Tokarev, president of Transneft, said on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel. “They announced that they would not take oil from Russia from January 1. Now we have received applications from Polish consumers asking for 3 million tons next year, and 360,000 tons for December, and Germany has already submitted an application for the first quarter, he said.
On December 12, the Polish Cabinet called for the introduction of ‘full, comprehensive sanctions without exceptions’ against Russia, including ‘comprehensive sanctions against the northern pipeline (Druzhba).’
“If this does not happen, then we will continue discussions together with the [Orlen] concern, or the concern will decide what to do next with the commitments already made,” Anna Moskva, minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, who is responsible for energy issues, told reporters.
We have to wonder if the Politicians in Germany and Poland are starting to fear civil uprising if people have no heat.
During a broadcast this evening, journalist Michael Shellenberger gives a good encapsulation of his review of the Twitter Files {Direct Rumble Link}.
As noted by Shellenberger the FBI running internal domestic political operations against the American public should be the subject of a serious investigation. The problem becomes, when the national law enforcement agency is running corrupt political operations, who is left to investigate the FBI? WATCH:

Friends, in the late summer and fall of 2021 CTH warned of massive waves of price increases that would push inflation to record highs. We watched as each wave arrived almost on schedule throughout 2022, and as a direct result of Joe Biden energy and economic policy, prices necessarily skyrocketed.
In essence in 2021 we were warning about the expenditure side of the ledger that all working-class and fixed income families would experience. We advised to take every proactive measure possible to avoid future price increases.
Now, unfortunately, we begin moving those same warnings to the other side of the ledger; because as a natural consequence of consumer checkbook pain, the financial pressure always transfers to the income and employment side of the economic dynamic.
Keep in mind, retail sales are calculated in dollars spent by consumers. November 2022 retail sales as reported by the commerce department today [DATA pdf], reflect a 0.6% decrease in spending vs October. November data includes Thanksgiving, Black Friday and the traditional early holiday shopping. 0.6% less dollars were spent, despite prices being double digits higher than the prior year.
When the prices you are charging for goods and/or services are 10, 20, even as high as 60 percent more than prior year, yet your sales are running flat to negative – that means consumer purchases of those goods/services are substantially lower.
If you were selling 100 widgets for $1 each in 2021, you gross $100. If your widgets now sell for $1.25 and you gross $94 in 2022 sales, you have sold 75 widgets.
In 2021 you sold 100 widgets, in 2022 you sold 75 widgets, a difference of 25 widgets.
Everything attached to the raw material, creation, manufacturing, distribution and sale of those 25 missing widgets is no longer part of the economic activity associated with your widget business. You are now telling your suppliers you don’t need as many widgets, because they are not selling. You have lost 25% of your business in this scenario.
Everything associated with the drop in consumer spending now begins to downsize. Downsizing means less labor needed. This process triggers the economic impact shifting from the consumer sales side of the ledger to the income side of the ledger for employers, employees and workers.
If this consumer spending trend continues, and there is absolutely no reason to think it will reverse, we are entering a phase of serious financial instability for the American worker, at a scale that will dwarf the 2006/’07 and ’08 recession.
I am not a doomsayer pundit on economic matters. I am a proactive planner on economic forecasts. With consumer credit costing more, with fed interest rates climbing, with import orders cancelled, with shipping costs dropping, with consumer spending contracting, with fewer units moving, with inventories climbing, all of the data only points in one direction.
Serious consumer defaults are looming.
Government policy has been hammering the demand side of the economy, proclaiming -falsely- that excessive consumer demand was the cause of inflation. This game of economic pretending is about to get very serious.
Consumer spending, as measured in actual units created and purchased in the economy, has been contracting since the third quarter of 2021 (started June, July, August ’21). Simultaneously, consumer spending as measured in actual dollars spent to purchase food, fuel and energy, has been skyrocketing. This is a supply side inflationary cycle with no soft landing.
(Wall Street Journal) – U.S. retail spending and manufacturing weakened in November, signs of a slowing economy as the Federal Reserve continues its battle against high inflation.
November retail sales fell 0.6% from the prior month for the biggest decline this year, the Commerce Department said Thursday. Budget-conscious shoppers pulled back sharply on holiday-related purchases, home projects and autos. Manufacturing output declined 0.6%, the first drop since June, the Fed said in a separate report.
The Fed on Wednesday raised its benchmark interest rate 0.5 percentage point to a 15-year high and signaled plans to continue lifting rates through the spring. Fed officials have increased rates at the fastest pace since the 1980s to cool the economy and bring down inflation, which is running near a 40-year high.
“Most households are acting strategically, planning for a road ahead that may be more difficult to traverse, with higher interest rates, the housing slump, and ongoing inflation—and the very real possibility of a recession,” said Craig Johnson, president of the retail consulting firm Customer Growth Partners. Businesses are going to start cutting expenses in order to survive.
The number one expense for almost all businesses is the labor cost.
Non-essential and high wage labor is going to get removed first.
Poland is creating the most powerful Army in Europe at the prodding of the Biden Administration. It will now surpass even Germany as well as Turkey. They are building a major force with the potential to invade Russia on a conventional level. They call this the “Plan for the Defence of the Fatherland.” They have been instructed by the Biden Administration to increase their army from 110,000 soldiers to 250,000 professional soldiers.
Jaroslaw Kaczynski, right, leader of Poland’s ruling PiS party, and Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak made the announcement. Kaczynski justified this “radical strengthening of the armed forces” with a worsened security situation as a result of Russia’s “imperial ambitions” and the “hybrid attacks” by Belarus. War is made by leaders, not the common people of any country. Putin has NEVER displayed any “imperial ambitions” and those days are long gone. Nobody wants to occupy Europe any more than they want to occupy the United States.
This is all needed because the monetary system is collapsing and we have reached the end of the road of fiscal mismanagement of borrowing every year, running deficits under socialism to bribe voters. Politicians no longer even know how to run for office without such promises. But they are reaching the capacity to sell their debt. As interest rates rise, nobody wants long-term debt. The only way to escape this debt crisis is to create war. That will be the excuse to default on all the debt and start all over again, hopefully with a reduced population. So the Polish are to be the next culture to be sacrificed at the altar of sovereign debt.

I’m not going to write extensively about this because I respect your intellectual ability to see the obvious. Questions have been raised about why the Twitter File releases appear to have been structured in a fashion to protect government interests.
Well, the new Bari Weiss website that was set up to launch as an exclusive outcome of the Twitter File release, includes a current contributor and former 2020 control officer of the DOJ who would have facilitated the DHS/FBI contact with social media; the stuff that is transparently missing from the Twitter File releases.
[ SOURCE ]
Yes, former AG Bill Barr is a content partner with Twitter File narrative engineer Bari Weiss. Gee, I wonder how that happens?
Oh look, and what a coincidence… they are both promoting Ron DeSantis.
Wait… Elon Musk is also promoting Ron Desantis… and Mr Musk is simultaneously promoting the Bari Weiss website that promotes Ron DeSantis… and contains Twitter File releases that are conspicuously missing the discussion angle of FBI influence in the 2020 election… Almost as if… wait, nah, that would be conspiracy talk. Just ordinary coincidences everywhere, for sure.
Jack, who never had control, says just release everything without filter.
Elon says stuff might have been hidden from you too, and some stuff deleted:
Knowing the background of Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop…
Obvious question… Hey fellas, who was doing the hiding and deleting?
A former target of the Twitter speech police, actor James Woods, calls in to the Tucker Carlson broadcast tonight after the release of the Twitter files. {Direct Rumble Link}
Mr. Woods gives his first reaction to discovering the Biden campaign and government employees had access to Twitter for content removal. Mr. Woods states he intends to sue the DNC and Biden Campaign for his personal targeting as outlined by the Twitter document release. WATCH:
