Schengen Agreement Dead – Killed by Refugees

COMMENT: Dear Martin,
you are once more right with your view’s. EU’s Schengen agreement is going to die. From May 1st on, anybody in the EU has to carry an “A1 Certificate” if he or she is going on a business trip to avoid “social insurance fraud”. If not, you could be fined by up to 10.000,00 Euro.
Best regards
AC

REPLY: The cornerstone of the EU was to be the freedom of movement to create the United States of Europe. This became known as the Schengen Agreement to create a borderless Europe signed on June 14, 1985, between five of the then ten member states of the EU. It proposed the gradual abolition of border checks at the signatories’ common borders. Measures proposed included reduced speed vehicle checks, which allowed vehicles to cross borders without stopping, allowing residents in border areas the freedom to cross borders away from fixed checkpoints, and the harmonization of visa policies. However, this Schengen Agreement did not come into effect until March 26, 1995 (1995.232). It eliminated border checks among its members and allowed foreign visitors to travel throughout the area using one visa.

Britain has been preventing those non-EU citizens with Schengen visas from freely crossing the border into Britain. Someone from Ukraine with an EU visa cannot travel to Britain and subsequently to many former British Commonwealth states, such as the Bahamas, even for a vacation. Switzerland also is experiencing an anti-EU immigration trend.

This is what they always do. They cannot repeal the Schengen Agreement, for that would defeat the entire premise of the EU in creating the United States of Europe. They are using health insurance to prove you are really a citizen or legitimate resident of your country. It is always the same — wordsmithing. This is not my simple opinion. The Schengen Agreement was dead once they allowed the refugees into Europe.

Conversation with global warming skeptic Anthony Watts

Published on Sep 17, 2012

Spencer Michels interviews one of the nations’s most read climate skeptics Anthony Watts. Watts believes much of the data used to support global warming theories is faulty. The big problem, as Watts sees it, is that the stations were temperatures are gathered are too close to urban developments where heat is soaked up and distorts the readings. So it looks like the earth is warming though it may not be.

0:34 / 42:11 China’s Strategy Against Trump and America: Trade War, Huawei, 5G—Gen. Robert Spalding

In the US China trade war, what’s behind the Chinese communist party’s (CCP’s) strategy, with Liu He walking away from the trade talks at the last minute? What’s the real relationship between Chinese telecom giant Huawei, and the CCP’s quest for global 5G dominance? And how is this all a much, much bigger issue than just trade? This is American Thought Leaders and I’m Jan Jekielek. Today we sit down with General Robert Spalding, who was a Brigadier General in the US Air Force, chief China strategist for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon, and a Senior Strategic Planner for the White House, at the National Security Council. Now, he’s a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute.

Where to Live in the Meltdown?

QUESTION: Marty,

Tks for all your help and free education services.

When the 3rd world is crushed in USD denominated debt and there is a world currency reset after the pension crisis in the west/US, will Asia be the best place to be?

What Asian countries does Socrates say will be best?

Cheers

Baldy

NZ & Scotland were mentioned in the past but both have awful climates and seriously challenged leftie leaning govts.

ANSWER: NZ and Scotland were more from a perspective of war. Neither is a choice from an economic standpoint. From an economic viewpoint, Asia will be a better place. The countries that have come out of Marxism, ironically, will be less likely to embrace the extreme left since they know where that leads. I have friends who were in Hungary and Russia who migrated to the West. One went to Germany and the other to the United States. They did not know each other. Both remarked that what they had fled from had appeared in the West post-2007. You cannot get on a plane today without, “Papers, please.” You can no longer travel with money or even open an account overseas without that government reporting back to your home country (USA  is not part of the CRS so Europeans can open accounts in the United States – just do not use a bank that has branches in Europe).

The West is bleeding human rights all to support the power of government. I suspect there will be serious civil unrest. The West is rising again to the call of the left (i.e. Bernie Sanders or Jeremy Corbyn in Britain). As tensions rise in Europe over the EU desperately trying to exert its power to retain its position, the rising separatist movements will only grow. This presents a risk of civil unrest and the future does not look so bright.

These trends will aid in sending capital fleeing to Asia when the USA joins the crowd. That is what I meant in saying that I am more concerned about who follows Trump this time around. A career politician will defend the system against the people to retain the power base. That is just the lesson history presents — not my opinion.

Parkland SRO Arrested – Child Negligence, Culpable Negligence and Perjury Charges…

The school resource officer, Scot Peterson, who did not respond during the shooting Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last year, has been arrested on negligence, child neglect and perjury charges.

(NBC6 Miami) […]  Peterson, 56, was arrested in Broward County on seven counts of neglect of a child, three counts of culpable negligence, and one count of perjury, Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials said.

The arrest comes after a 15-month investigation into the actions of law enforcement after the Feb. 14, 2018 shooting at the school that killed 17 students and staffers and left 17 others injured. Peterson was the school resource officer at MSD High School during the shooting.

“The FDLE investigation shows former Deputy Peterson did absolutely nothing to mitigate the MSD shooting that killed 17 children, teachers and staff and injured 17 others,” FDLE Commissioner Rick Swearingen said in a statement. “There can be no excuse for his complete inaction and no question that his inaction cost lives.”  (read more)

CTH previously outlined how Broward County school police officers were primarily positioned to mitigate issues with criminal student engagement.

The Broward County diversionary school discipline program known as the “Promise Program” gained scrutiny after the Parkland shooting left 17 students dead.

The unstable shooter was identified as a prior benefactor of a county school district policy to reduced crime rates by exchanging criminal punishment for school discipline.

Many readers are aware CTH spent almost two years researching this practice in both Miami-Dade and Broward County.  The downstream consequences were predictable when it first began; unfortunately, no-one wanted to accept the warnings – and the corruption is was systemic within the School and Police leadership, there’s was little hope to ever see it change.

Global Warming – Just Follow the Money

I just returned from New York City, the armpit of the world since I never saw an apple tree there yet, and I had a very interesting meeting behind the curtain. I thought I would share this subject which they agreed I could go public on without names of course. Besides the fact that there is an understanding that this entire Global Warming scenario is acknowledged nonsense for in real science you debate whereas this agenda seeks to shut down any debate whatsoever, there has been a geopolitical agenda that has been going on which is also why Trump has refused to join the club.

There are those who were using this movement for geopolitical reasons trying to oppress emerging markets which included China. When I was in Beijing back in 1997, 95% of the people were on bicycles. Today, perhaps 5% use bicycles that notice on the streets. There were far more people riding bicycles in Amsterdam than in Beijing based on just my observations on my last trip to both places. In just 5 years, China had poured more concrete in their infrastructure than the United States had poured since the Great Depression. Trying to ban coal was perhaps a covert move to try to keep China from expanding. But it had other problems. Angela Merkel banned nuclear power after the Japan nuclear disaster yet this meant that Germany would still be in a position to produce energy by coal. In Sweden, they used the Global Warming agenda to move to nuclear power.

The other covert agenda only required the simple task of following the money. From the very beginning, the movement to create nuclear power plants funded the agenda of Global Warming to clear the resistance to move to what they were calling a “cleaner” form of energy. The Trump administration has repeatedly vowed to help revitalize the nation’s nuclear power industry, which has struggled to compete with cheap renewables and natural gas. However, he has been unable to get that through Congress.

Meanwhile, the U.S. did agree to build six nuclear reactors in India, which has plans to massively scale up its nuclear-power program to meet the country’s growing energy demands as it reduces emissions. There is no doubt that the Global Warming agenda has also begun as a means to further the nuclear power industry in international markets.

The compelling argument used to convince that the world must turn to nuclear power plants centers on the fact that it is carbon-free energy to stave off global warming. It’s not at all clear that renewables can do the job alone and the dream of electric cars will never materialize without nuclear power on any grand scale. Nuclear is a proven technology, which already provides 11% of all electricity globally. They need the Global Warming propaganda to justify building nuclear power plants which are far more costly to construct – $5 billion to $10 billion a pop. Sometimes, it just helps to follow the money.

Al Gore to Hold Australian Climate Change Event to Discourage Australians From Mining Coal

Al Gore is still at it. At the expense to Australian taxpayers of $142,000, Gore will lead a three-day climate change lecture in Queensland. Gore will push his global warming theory, speaking at the Minister’s Climate Change event in Brisbane from June 5 to 7, 2019. The three-day climate change conference was supposed to include Labour leader Bill Shorten. The polls said Shorten would win the Federal Election, but in a surprise, he lost. The entire election was built on climate change and it did not go over very well at the voting booths. He intends to train between 800 and 1000 business and community leaders from across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region during the climate change event to adopt his theory, even though the analysis is linear and has failed with both of his movies.

As a side note, Queensland is experiencing bitter cold – perfect timing!
