Steele Dossier Primary Subsource, Igor Danchenko, Arrested on Five Counts of Lying to FBI – Danchenko Was Working With Democrat Campaign Official

CTH begins every review of John Durham news with the following disclaimer:  If Special Counsel John Durham was going to reveal what is possible; how is Durham going to handle the reality that Robert Mueller’s and Andrew Weissmann’s entire existence was in place to hide it?

♦ The primary subsource for the Christopher Steele dossier was a guy named Igor Danchenko.   According to several investigations of the dossier, Chris Steele attributes most of the information within the dossier to Danchenko.  John Durham has just arrested Igor Danchenko [indictment pdf here]

The backstory is…. In essence, Chris Steele put a bunch of Danchenko garbage inside his dossier, and his dossier was used to get the Carter Page FISA warrant to conduct surveillance against the Trump campaign (October 21, 2016). Danchenko then disavowed the veracity of all the information he provided during FBI interviews in January, February and March 2017; but the FBI ignored the Danchenko statements and used the dossier for two more FISA renewals in April and June 2017.

For a background on Igor Danchenko and his sketchy claims both to Chris Steele and to FBI investigators, review this prior video put together by John Spiropoulos prior to the information we discover today:

Today, Igor Danchenko was indicted on five counts of lying to the FBI as an outcome of the special counsel investigation headed by John Durham. {New York Times}

However, it is important to note what Durham is doing here.  Durham is charging Danchenko (working outside government) with lying to the FBI while simultaneously avoiding drawing attention to the FBI/DOJ officials (inside government) who knew Danchenko was lying and were willfully blind to the lying in order to continue attacking and investigating President Donald Trump.

So far, John Durham is willing to go after the co-conspirators outside government, but he is unwilling to target or call out the co-conspirators currently inside the U.S. government.

Igor Danchenko, a Russia analyst who worked with Christopher Steele, the author of a dossier of rumors and unproven assertions about Donald J. Trump, was taken into custody as part of the Durham investigation.

The indictment [pdf here] says that Igor Danchenko falsely told investigators that he received a phone call in July 2016 from Sergei Millian, an individual he believed to be a U.S. citizen and the president of the Russian-American Chamber of Commerce.

Danchenko previously said Millian provided him with information for the dossier, and the two later agreed to meet in person in New York.  However, Millian has said that phone call with Danchenko never took place, there was no conversation or sharing of information and they never met.  The indictment affirms what Millian has claimed from the outset.

Danchenko falsely accused Millian of giving him information for the dossier because Danchenko was making it all up.  Instead the information was really coming from Charles Dolan Jr, a Democrat campaign official who the indictment calls “PR Executive-1” (h/t Aaron Mate).

Within the indictment, John Durham asserts that Danchenko and Dolan were working together to manufacture false information about Donald Trump in order to funnel it into the dossier through Christopher Steele.   The FBI would then gain the fabricated dirt from Chris Steele for their Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

Charles Dolan (DNC campaign operative) later admitted to the FBI that the information he provided to Danchenko was bogus.  However, Danchenko denied getting the information from Dolan, a lie that now becomes part of the indictment.

Technofog has a good review of the indictment – SEE HERE – which includes:

Overall, Danchenko faces five false statement charges:

    1. Falsely denying he didn’t talk to the Democrat PR executive (Dolan) about the dossier allegations.
    2. Falsely stating he took a 2016 call from Russian Sergei Millian (whom he says alleged a Trump/Russia conspiracy).
    3. Falsely stating in another FBI interview that he took the 2016 call from Millian.
    4. Falsely stating he talked to Millian more than once over the phone.
    5. False in another FBI interview about his conversations with Millian.

The Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Delay

Armstrong Economics Blog/Energy Re-Posted Oct 29, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

(Nord Stream Pipeline)

European Union leaders are scrambling for solutions to the energy crisis, but their feared friend from the East has reminded them that a solution exists. According to the Associated Press, gas prices in the EU have spiked to 95 euros from about 19 euros per megawatt-hour in the past year. Around 90% of gas is imported to the EU, and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said that the only long-term solution is to invest in renewable energy. “And in the long term, there is only one solution — invest more in renewable energy so we are less vulnerable to price fluctuations for fossil fuels,” he said.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban blamed the Green Deal plan for higher prices, which aims to reduce greenhouse emissions by 55% by 2030, with the goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. Some leaders are pointing to the use of nuclear energy, such as France, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. However, the 27-nation bloc has not designated nuclear power as a sustainable investment yet.

(Nord Stream 2 Pipeline)

In comes Putin and the controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline that would carry much-needed gas from Russia to the EU beneath the Baltic Sea. “If the German regulator gives approval tomorrow, supplies of 17.5 billion cubic meters of gas will start the day after tomorrow,” Putin said. The Russian president has previously criticized the EU for not signing long-term contracts and failing to work with Russia on energy trade. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that relying on gas from Russia makes the bloc “vulnerable,” but it seems that they are already vulnerable and in a worsening situation with no solution in sight. EU energy ministers are set to meet in December, where they are likely to kick around solutions while ignoring the one that is a pipeline away.

The Chicago Marxists and Woke Political Followers are Fracturing Western Society, Paving The Way For Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping to Expand, LOOK

When the Australian government began beating their citizens in the street for leaving their houses and protesting against severe lockdown rules, I said –somewhat tongue in cheek at the time– to watch Vladimir Putin (Russia) and Xi Jinping (China) trigger U.N. security council sanctions against the Australian government for human rights abuses.

The point I was making earlier was to highlight a danger.  If Western governments continued to devolve into totalitarian regimes, global autocratic leaders will take the opportunity to exploit vulnerabilities created by such open undemocratic hostility toward the principles of freedom.

Putin, Xi and the Mullahs in Iran can easily enlarge their global influence if citizens in formerly free democratic nations react to western COVID mandates by rightly and appropriately rebuking their national and regional leadership.

CONSIDER– What population inside a western democracy is going to want to fight Russian or Chinese geopolitical aggression when they view their own national leaders through the same totalitarian prism?

Think about it carefully, because we are at this inflection point.

♦Ex. If China takes military action against Taiwan, and the leaders of France, Germany, the U.K, Australia and the United States want to do something about it, their internal credibility accounts are overdrawn.  Western populations writ large will not support those requests, because the citizens no longer view those leaders through the prism of freedom, liberty and democracy.   This is the current situation.  This is the danger western leaders ignored when they jumped into their totalitarian COVID mindset.

In a clear example of how autocrats can exploit this self-inflicted vulnerability, check out this speech during a plenary session of the 18th annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi, by Russian President Vladimir Putin (h/t Rebel News):

Vladimir Putin:“We look in amazement at the processes underway in the countries which have been traditionally looked at as the standard-bearers of progress,” Putin said. “Of course, the social and cultural shocks that are taking place in the United States and Western Europe are none of our business; we are keeping out of this.”

“Some people in the West believe that an aggressive elimination of entire pages from their own history, ‘reverse discrimination’ against the majority in the interests of a minority, and the demand to give up the traditional notions of mother, father, family and even gender, they believe that all of these are the mileposts on the path towards social renewal,” said Putin, elaborating on the cultural decline of the west in the name of social justice.

“Listen, I would like to point out once again that they have a right to do this, we are keeping out of this,” Putin continued. “But we would like to ask them to keep out of our business as well. We have a different viewpoint, at least the overwhelming majority of Russian society — it would be more correct to put it this way – has a different opinion on this matter. We believe that we must rely on our own spiritual values, our historical tradition and the culture of our multiethnic nation.”

“The advocates of so-called ‘social progress’ believe they are introducing humanity to some kind of a new and better consciousness,” he added. “Godspeed, hoist the flags as we say, go right ahead.”

“The only thing that I want to say now is that their prescriptions are not new at all,” Putin continued, and highlighted the similarities between woke progressives to the Soviet revolutionaries who took over Russia.

“It may come as a surprise to some people, but Russia has been there already,” he said. “After the 1917 revolution, the Bolsheviks, relying on the dogmas of Marx and Engels, also said that they would change existing ways and customs and not just political and economic ones, but the very notion of human morality and the foundations of a healthy society. The destruction of age-old values, religion and relations between people, up to and including the total rejection of family (we had that, too), encouragement to inform on loved ones – all this was proclaimed progress and, by the way, was widely supported around the world back then and was quite fashionable, same as today. By the way, the Bolsheviks were absolutely intolerant of opinions other than theirs.”

“This, I believe, should call to mind some of what we are witnessing now,” he said. “Looking at what is happening in a number of Western countries, we are amazed to see the domestic practices, which we, fortunately, have left, I hope, in the distant past.”

“The fight for equality and against discrimination has turned into aggressive dogmatism bordering on absurdity, when the works of the great authors of the past — such as Shakespeare — are no longer taught at schools or universities, because their ideas are believed to be backward,” he said. “The classics are declared backward and ignorant of the importance of gender or race. In Hollywood, memos are distributed about proper storytelling and how many characters of what colour or gender should be in a movie. This is even worse than the agitprop department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.”

“Countering acts of racism is a necessary and noble cause, but the new ‘cancel culture’ has turned it into ‘reverse discrimination’ that is, reverse racism,” noted Putin, who apt went on to describe the woke obsession with race and gender.

“The obsessive emphasis on race is further dividing people, when the real fighters for civil rights dreamed precisely about erasing differences and refusing to divide people by skin colour,” said Putin in reference to Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech.

“I specifically asked my colleagues to find the following quote from Martin Luther King: ‘I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by their character.’ This is the true value,” he said.

“However, things are turning out differently there,” he added. “By the way, the absolute majority of Russian people do not think that the colour of a person’s skin or their gender is an important matter. Each of us is a human being. This is what matters.”

“In a number of Western countries, the debate over men’s and women’s rights has turned into a perfect phantasmagoria. Look, beware of going where the Bolsheviks once planned to go — not only communalising chickens, but also communalising women. One more step and you will be there,” Putin warned.

“Zealots of these new approaches even go so far as to want to abolish these concepts altogether,” he said. “Anyone who dares mention that men and women actually exist, which is a biological fact, risk being ostracised.”

Putin then remarked upon the transgender activist movement and widespread efforts to erase femininity and womanhood.

“‘Parent number one’ and ‘parent number two,’ ‘birthing parent’ instead of ‘mother,’ and ‘human milk’ replacing ‘breastmilk’ because it might upset the people who are unsure about their own gender. I repeat, this is nothing new; in the 1920s, the so-called Soviet Kulturtraegers also invented some newspeak believing they were creating a new consciousness and changing values that way. And, as I have already said, they made such a mess it still makes one shudder at times,” he said.

“Not to mention some truly monstrous things when children are taught from an early age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa,” said Putin, remarking on childhood gender transitions and the embrace of non-binary identities to the exclusion of parents. “That is, the teachers actually impose on them a choice we all supposedly have. They do so while shutting the parents out of the process and forcing the child to make decisions that can upend their entire life. They do not even bother to consult with child psychologists — is a child at this age even capable of making a decision of this kind? Calling a spade a spade, this verges on a crime against humanity, and it is being done in the name and under the banner of progress.”

“Well, if someone likes this, let them do it. I have already mentioned that, in shaping our approaches, we will be guided by a healthy conservatism,” said Putin. “That was a few years ago, when passions on the international arena were not yet running as high as they are now, although, of course, we can say that clouds were gathering even then. Now, when the world is going through a structural disruption, the importance of reasonable conservatism as the foundation for a political course has skyrocketed — precisely because of the multiplying risks and dangers, and the fragility of the reality around us.”

“This conservative approach is not about an ignorant traditionalism, a fear of change or a restraining game, much less about withdrawing into our own shell,” he noted. “It is primarily about reliance on a time-tested tradition, the preservation and growth of the population, a realistic assessment of oneself and others, a precise alignment of priorities, a correlation of necessity and possibility, a prudent formulation of goals, and a fundamental rejection of extremism as a method. And frankly, in the impending period of global reconstruction, which may take quite long, with its final design being uncertain, moderate conservatism is the most reasonable line of conduct, as far as I see it. It will inevitably change at some point, but so far, do no harm — the guiding principle in medicine — seems to be the most rational one. Noli nocere, as they say.”  (Kremlin Website)

You likely found yourself nodding in agreement with almost everything stated in that speech, me too.  However, in the bigger picture, it is important to recognize who has inflicted this shifting dynamic in global and geopolitical perspectives.   Western leadership, writ large, have only themselves to blame.

Traditional Fascism was authoritarian government working hand-in-glove with corporations to achieve totalitarian objectives.  It didn’t work because the principles of free people cast aside the authoritarianism.  Then along came a new approach to achieve the same objective.

The World Economic Forum was created to use the same fundamental associations of government and corporations; only this time the WEF was organized for multinational corporations to assemble and tell the various governments how to cooperate to achieve control.   Fascism is the underlying objective.  The WEF just flipped the internal dynamic.

Some have called this corporatism. However, the relationship between government and multinationals is just fascism essentially reversed with the government doing what the corporations tell them to do.   Brutally obvious example: Big Pharma telling governments to promote the vaccine, and figure out the control details later….

After Meeting With Russian President Vladimir Putin Joe Biden Freezes Military Assistance to Ukraine

President Donald Trump was impeached under the false pretense of withholding military assistance from Ukraine (he never did).  Intelligence Community operative Lt. Col Alexander Vindman testified to congress that President Trump’s decision to pause military assistance to Ukraine was evidence of some suspicious relationship between President Trump and Russian President Putin….  The media proclaimed Trump was working to assist Russia because President Putin likely had pee tapes, or something.

Fast forward a little more than a year, Joe Biden meets with Putin, gets eviscerated and embarrassed by the diplomatic smack-down from the Russian President, and suddenly Joe Biden is freezing formerly approved military assistance for Ukraine….  IMPEACH !

WASHINGTON DC – The Biden White House has temporarily halted a military aid package to Ukraine that would include lethal weapons, a plan originally made in response to aggressive Russian troop movements along Ukraine’s border this spring.

The aid package would be worth up to $100 million, according to four people familiar with internal deliberations.

The National Security Council directed officials to put the package together, as Washington grew increasingly concerned over a massive Russian military buildup near the border with Ukraine and in the Crimean Peninsula, according to three of the people, who like the others asked not to be named in order to speak candidly about internal discussions. Officials at the State Department and Pentagon worked to assemble the proposal. (read more)

Putin says Lenin Destroyed 1,000-Year-Old Russia

Armstrong Economics Blog/Russia Re-Posted May 8, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

Putin reveals what he thought about Lenin’s entire Communist movement, making it clear that Lenin was not a statesman but just a Bolshevik Revolutionary.

The importance of this answer by Putin reveals how he thinks of Ukraine. Lenin tried to standardize all humans into this cookie-cutter idea and failed. Putin is revealing his disagreement with the Great Reset, which is following the same mistake of Lenin. He is far more intelligent than the Western press portrays him.

The Smell Of War

Don’t Sniff The Bear!

The Biden Regime declared a national emergency at Ukraine-Russia border. How does this make sense? The US border is not in Ukraine. Our southern border is wide open to anyone who wants to waltz in—armed and otherwise. It’s a disaster that requires a national emergency—not a country halfway round the globe. Let Ukraine take care of its own problems. We’re not the world’s policeman. OH—but I almost forgot. Billions of dollars are sent to foreign countries so politicians can engage in graft and money laundering. Biden doesn’t want to put a stop to that. After all, his own son, Hunter, benefitted greatly.

Biden declared ‘unwavering support’ for protecting Ukraine’s border, but again…our own borders are left wide open. Let’s all let that sink in.

Biden then threatened the usual sanctions against Russia. He’s poking the Russian bear with a stick just as Hillary wanted to do. She claimed Russia stole the election away from her, which is complete nonsense.

The Socialist Democrats seemed determined to carry on their war mongering to benefit the big banks and the Military Industrial Complex, but if war does break out with Russia, it can obviously escalate into a nuclear exchange and we have a demented fool near the nuclear button. Let’s let that sink in, too.

JoeBama Flinches, Putin Closes Kerch Strait and Blocks Black Sea to Foreign Warships

Posted originally on the conservative tree House April 15, 2021 | Sundance | 451 Comments

As Russia continues to build up troop presence near the Ukraine border, Joe Biden sent a warning to Vladimir Putin.  In response Russia told the U.S. to stay out of the Black Sea “for your own good” while they conduct exercises.  Biden turned back two U.S. navy ships….  Hours later Putin closed the Kerch Strait.

The Biden administration is attempting to give the illusion of strength but it is all an act and Russia knows it.   The Ukraine is vulnerable to Russian absorption because a large portion of the Ukrainian people support Russia.   NATO is attempting to issue threats, but Russia knows the EU, and specifically Germany, will do nothing except grasp their pearls.  It is all false bravado on the part of the NATO alliance; they have no teeth and their electorate have no desire for another conflict.

A Background Note –  Additional leverage Putin holds goes back to the Nordstream 2 gas pipeline to supply the energy needs of Germany.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel was warned by President Trump not to go forward with the pipeline that creates a geopolitical leverage for Russia.  Merkel went ahead despite the warnings, and adding salt to the issue, Germany never upheld their NATO funding commitments (2% of GDP).  This was a major source of contention between Trump and Merkel.

The knuckleheads behind Biden attempted to flex their muscle toward Russia through a series of sanctions earlier today.   The United States sanctioned 32 Russian entities and individuals along with six technology companies, formally attributed the SolarWinds cyber breach to Russian intelligence agencies, and accused Moscow of still trying to hack American targets.

Russian President Vladimir Putin doesn’t care about words.  Words, without action are meaningless.   Putin knows the Biden administration is weak domestically because the majority of the U.S. electorate view his administration as illegitimate.   Putin also knows Barack Obama foreign policy is essentially Biden foreign policy, and Putin accepts that both Obama and Biden are intent to weaken the U.S. globally.

From the Russian perspective a bunch of noisy and pontificating moonbats are currently running everything in the U.S. and there is absolutely nothing to fear because their leadership, our  U.S. government, is weak and unsupported.  Putin knows Americans are not going to agree to another regional war in Europe when the damn Europeans are not even willing to defend themselves.

Joe Biden acting like Scott Farcus only works until Ralphie puts a fist in Farcus’s face.

And don’t forget… the number one asset of Russia is energy (oil and gas); JoeBama’s energy policy has effectively assisted the Russian economy.   So there’s that…

U.S. Intelligence Now Says Story of Russian Bounties on American Troops Likely False

Posted originally on the conservative tree house April 15, 2021 | Sundance | 104 Comments

After the media blew up a story about Russian military putting bounties on American troops in an effort to shape a Russian collusion narrative against the administration of President Trump, the U.S. intelligence community now says that story was likely false.

(Via Daily Beast) – [O]n Thursday, the Biden administration announced that U.S. intelligence only had “low to moderate” confidence in the story after all. Translated from the jargon of spyworld, that means the intelligence agencies have found the story is, at best, unproven—and possibly untrue.

[…] According to the officials on Thursday’s call, the reporting about the alleged “bounties” came from “detainee reporting” – raising the specter that someone told their U.S.-aligned Afghan jailers what they thought was necessary to get out of a cage. Specifically, the official cited “information and evidence of connections to criminal agents in Afghanistan and elements of the Russian government” as sources for the intelligence community’s assessment.
